DYW of West Jefferson Performance 2019
This was a great show. Our third DYW performance within a month, but this crowd did not know anything about us, unlike the previous two shows. When we arrived with make-up, hair, and costumes already prepped, equipment in tow, we were received with apprehension and with some unflattering remarks. However, give us a chance and a stage and we can change the minds of a crowd – and that is just what happened. We took to the stage and blew this crowd out of the water.
They went from being apprehensive to completely loving our art form and performance. The ‘Bats were pushing so hard on stage for a great show that one of them, Kennen, kneed himself in the face in the second to last routine and made his nose bleed. But he did not stop. He performed with the blood and finished strong with his ‘Bat family. Such a great night!

One of our last performances before the shutdown for the Coronavirus. This was a final piece of our show. So much fun going to the competition every year to see what is new and to showcase our art form.
