Bio:
After much coxing, Taryn would come a join Stasia Acrobats in November of 2016. Apprehensive to join a band of crazy daredevils, she finally decided to join up because her sister was part of the Troupe and the coach, Aric, kept telling her that she would be a very good acrobat. Eventually, she would step into the studio and find just that, that she was very good at being an acrobat, but she also would find so much more.
As all of those that join Stasia Acrobats, Taryn, too, found a family outside of her own. She found a great support system through good times and bad. Being part of the Troupe is such a huge part of her life as it has inspired her to reach out into the world and see just what is out there. She is currently a high school student that enjoys challenging herself with classes and other extracurricular activities. She takes the toughest classes offered and finds such great success with those classes as she puts her heart and soul into everything she goes after. Her love for continued growth in knowledge and skills, Taryn continues to push herself to learn new things and improve on her other skills. She takes music classes and plays the clarinet. She is also a self-taught artist and loves to dabble in make-up stylings (a couple of which Stasia Acrobats has used in shows). Her creativity level is unreal as she has learned to think outside the box and expand her imagination so that she can create great art pieces, costume ideas for the Troupe, and characters for her performances with Stasia Acrobats.
Being a part of Stasia Acrobats has helped to fuel so much of Taryn’s drive as it has increased her want for knowledge and skills, but also, it has helped her discover a love for travel and to experience other cultures and people from around the world, like many of the experiences of her coach. Last year, she traveled through a few European countries and this year, Belize.
Her constant want to improve herself, her big heart, and desire to help others is why Taryn is now, at 16 years of age, is the Captain of Stasia Acrobats. Her uniqueness and constant desire to expand her knowledge, abilities, and life experiences is why she loves being a part of Stasia Acrobats and helping others to achieve all that they are able to in life. Being a part of Stasia Acrobats is what helps to push her to be the most amazing person that she can possibly be and that appreciation and respect for all that she has learned within the Troupe is why she loves being the Captain, so she can hand down the same traditions and uniqueness to future generations of Stasia Acrobats.
Why I am an Acrobat:
There are many reasons that I am here, in Stasia Acrobats. The number one reason would have to be, the people. The other ‘Bats are my best friends and have helped me through everything. The second reason is because it has helped me to find who I really am. I have grown so much as a person and have learned skills that will help me in all areas of life. I am eternally grateful for the opportunities that I have received through Stasia Acrobats.
My Favorite Memory:
My favorite memory is taking a road trip with all of the ‘Bats to perform a pregame show for the Utah Jazz in Salt Lake City, Utah. We spent the whole time bonding and laughing, just enjoying our time together. Because we are family.
